Editorial Policy
How Hajjency researches, writes, fact-checks and updates its UAE travel articles, and how we keep our content independent from advertising.
Last updated:
At Hajjency, we want every reader to trust what they read before they pack a suitcase. This policy explains how we choose topics, research and write our articles, keep them accurate and separate our editorial work from advertising.
Our editorial mission
Our goal is to give travellers, expats and anyone curious about the United Arab Emirates clear, practical and reliable information. Every article should answer a real question, be easy to understand and help the reader make a better decision.
How we choose topics
Most of our topics come from the questions people actually ask: messages from readers, common search questions and everyday situations visitors face in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates — from visas and transport to dress codes, food and local customs.
Research and sources
- We rely on reputable sources such as official UAE government portals, tourism authorities, airlines, airports and established travel and cultural organisations.
- For laws, visas and safety we prefer primary, official sources and avoid rumours and unverified claims.
- When information is unclear, changing or varies between emirates, we say so clearly.
Writing standards
- Answer first. Articles open with a short, direct answer, followed by the details.
- Plain language. We explain local terms and avoid unnecessary jargon.
- Practical value. We include actionable tips, typical costs, timing and clear next steps.
- Respect. We describe local culture, religion and traditions accurately and respectfully.
Legal, visa and safety content
Our articles are written for general information. They are not legal or immigration advice, and rules can change without notice. We encourage readers to confirm important details with official authorities before travelling. Please also read our Disclaimer.
Use of technology
Like many modern publishers, we use digital tools — including AI-assisted research and drafting tools — to help us produce and update content efficiently. These tools never replace our editorial standards: content is checked for clarity, accuracy and usefulness, and we correct problems as soon as we learn about them.
Accuracy, updates and corrections
Travel information changes — prices, opening hours, entry requirements and regulations. We review and update articles when we learn about changes. If you believe something in an article is inaccurate or out of date, please let us know at [email protected]. We review every report and correct confirmed errors promptly.
Independence and advertising
Hajjency is free to read and is supported by advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over our topics, research or conclusions. Ads are displayed separately from our editorial content, and we do not publish paid content disguised as independent articles.
Feedback
We welcome feedback from our readers. If you have suggestions, questions or concerns about our content, please contact us.
